Medlife Urgent Care

PAYMENT POLICIES

Dear Valued Patient,

MedLife Urgent Care, committed to enhancing service efficiency, has introduced a “credit card on file” (CCOF) system to streamline billing and transactions. This system supports our mission of providing affordable healthcare in California by simplifying payments during your visits

Signing up for CCOF is quick and easy. During your visit, you’ll swipe your preferred credit card and sign a pre-authorization to store the card on file. A signed form copy can be scanned and provided to you or emailed for your records. Your credit card information will be securely held on an encrypted gateway site. Our staff will not have access to your financial information, and it will not be stored in our system or office.

At MedLife Urgent Care, we collect co-pays at each visit, which can be paid via your preferred method. For patients with insurance, we handle the claim submission, and you’ll receive an explanation of benefits (EOB) within 1-3 weeks, detailing your coverage and any remaining balance. After receiving your EOB, we will charge your credit card on file for the amount due within 2-3 business days. If no balance is owed, your card won’t be charged. This system helps simplify the payment process, ensuring affordable healthcare in California. Receipts are available upon request from staff or by email.

This process ensures convenience while helping us provide transparent and efficient billing to maintain our goal of offering accessible and affordable healthcare in California.

CCOF is a growing trend in the healthcare industry. With the Affordable Care Act, Health Exchange, and a significant increase in patient insurance deductibles this year, we have found it necessary to implement this policy.
